Angela Gonzalez
Angela Gonzalez, known online as Angela of York, is a photographer currently based in NYC.

She finds thrill and excitement in capturing live music and theatre moments. She loves getting to know fellow artists through headshot sessions. And lets her artistry run wild for creative portraits.

She's had the pleasure of working with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Manhattan Theatre Club, Latiné Musical Theatre Lab, and many other inspiring organizations.

Angela's photography has been highlighted in exhibits, celebrated in a city-wide campaign, and featured on Playbill and Broadway Direct.
Within her career, Angela hopes to become a trusted arts and theatre photographer. She values storytelling and seeks to memorialize the artistic exchanges that keep people going. Angela also hopes for the privilege of documenting the storytellers of our generation as they achieve success and pave new ground. Joy, care, and passion motivate Angela as she captures and celebrates the artistry around her.

Angela started her photography journey in high school. She attended York County School of Technology as a student in their Communication Technology program. There she learned photo, video, print, and design. She ran off with photography but still carries a soft spot for videography. As she nears the finish line of her college career, Angela picked up a minor in Culture & Media at The New School as a nod and exercise toward her video skills. Meanwhile her major is in Musical Theatre.
That's right Angela is also a performer 💃🕺✨
She excelled in AMDA's integrated conservatory and is currently completing a BFA in Musical Theater at The New School.

She has had the privilege of working with remarkable artists such as Chryssie Whitehead, Kyle Taylor Parker, Jimmy Ludwig, and numerous other motivating professionals.

Angela's performing arts highlights include playing Marta in DreamWrights' production of Sondheim's Company and assistant directing In The Heights, a show near and dear to her, in her beloved hometown of York, PA- Angela of York ;)
